5 Bio-hacks to a better day!

10 minutes of sunlight in the morning

This ones from the well known Dr Andrew Huberman who suggests getting morning sun exposure can have a host of different benefits including better mood, improved sleep, hormone regulation and stress reduction.

Morning exercise

Get your exercise done first thing in the morning, make this part of your routine to kick start your day, energizes your body and allow yourself to relax in the evening for a better nights sleep.

Caffeine later!

A lot of people like their morning cup of coffee, ourselves included. However studies suggest that waiting for around 2 hours after waking up and then having your morning brew and letting your body wake up naturally, reduces the affects of the dreaded caffeine crash later on the same day!

Cold exposure

we're not talking wear short sleeves in the winter, more the cold showers/ cold plunge approach for 30 seconds to a couple of minutes, remember everybody is different so take it easy and don't over do it! Benefits are said to include increased dopamine, mood, energy and focus.

No screens after 8pm!

An obvious one but one of the hardest to stick to, essentially avoid screens especially your phone after 8pm, the amount of content you can consume through social media is staggering making it hard to relax your mind. Switch to reading, chatting, calming music or maybe even a nice bath. Key benefits include a better nights sleep!
