2 minute hacks - Hydration

    

With the human body being largely made up of water around 60 - 75% it's worth taking a look into your hydration. Typically an adult will need to consume somewhere between 1.5 - 2 liters or 8 -10 200ml glasses of water a day, of course this varies from person to person but with more of a focus on water we may be less likely to intake as many sugary and unhealthy drinks.

Key benefits to staying hydrated: 

  • Boost your energy levels
  • Increase brain and body function
  • Skin health
  • Better recovery
  • Reduce chance of injury (i.e. pre workout hydration)
  • Fewer headaches
  • Weight loss/ feeling fuller

The list goes on! Next time you consider a drink think about how much water you've consumed and consider the potential benefits to a hydrated lifestyle.
